King Richard's Faire
Any of the pond posse interested in going to King Richard's Faire, Sam is planning on getting the group together to go on the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend (7th). Be warned, we will have to leave pretty early on the morning of the 7th in order to get there before the rush. We may one other person to drive depending on the number of people who go, so we won't really know if we need another driver until we all meet up before leaving. We will need to leave around 8 or 9AM. I will let Sam fill you in on the details. If you know of any other pond posse people who won't see this and may like to go, please let them know. We will try to get in touch with as many pondies as possible, but just in case, it would be a big help. Any questions, comment back here, or contact either me and Sam through any method.

Columbus Day weekend
I know this is kind of way in advance, but I wanted to see how many people would be around before anything was planned. I was hoping to get the posse together sometime during Columbus Day weekend. I think all us college people have up until that Tuesday off. Anyway, if everyone could comment back about if they will be around or not, that would be awesome.

Hey...I was just wondering..who is still around? Who has ran away to college, and who is still in good ol' York?

I was just thinking that it would be cool to celebrate our last day of freedom by doing something on Labor Day. Anyone already have plans? Anyone up for the idea? Just thought we could talk it out here to see if it would work.

So yeah....holla back, bitches....

I just want to check up on this. We're going to Rocky Saturday night, yes? Did someone buy those tickets as planned? How're those plans for the tea party going?

Today is Friday and I get confused easily.

Before I forget and get sidetracked by something else..
Next Sunday (August 28th) is the proposed date for another Mad Tea Party. Times, location, all of that is still up in the air. Suggestions?

Just a heads up that Rocky Horror costs 20 bucks, and a Canobie Day pass is 26.
So don't spend all your money on that ethiopian child you adopted, or the man you've hired to kill your mom.

Now that it's August, the Seacoast Rep is putting Rocky on Fridays and Saturdays at Midnight. This makes it somewhat easy to schedule, as the only way work could get in the way is if someone had to work early in the morning.

I want to see you boys dressed up all pretty-like!

ok.. i'm gonna throw an idea for some sort of potential event out there, but it's just one small part. if anyone likes it, feel free to add on.

the town of rye permits fires (like campfires, cooking fires, etc) on the rock areas of the beach, provided that the people doing the burning acquire a permit first. i don't know if it costs anything, but it would entail going to the rye fd to get a permit anyways.

EDIT: a permit does not, in fact, cost any money.

as i am kind of a pyro and rye beach is one of my favorite places ever, the idea of rye beach + fire is very appealing, especially if there are also other plans and it's part of a big group thing

does anyone else agree?

okay, this one is pseudo important so listen up. either way i'll still grill you about it directly, but still want to get this out there.

gilford is in under TWO WEEKS. make sure your schedule is set up. also i would like to know what your schedule is. do you have all of the 18th off? do you have all the 19th off? if not how much time do you have? the drive in movie starts at sunset on the 18th. all the rest of the time is ours to do what we want with. i'd like to know what times everyone will be ready on the 18th so we can set up rides to gilford. i could take an early bunch at around noon maybe and another crew who has to ride later due to maybe work, or other commitments can always meet my mother later and hitch a ride with her. and if you cant make either of these rides, but would really like to come along, let me know and i can give you directions. i'd like to know what the word is so we can work out rides and that shit. the movie is by the car load so that would make things easiest on us. should weather interfere, dont worry, we have a back up for the drive in.

so get to me with your work hours for those days should you have any, this way we can work around them accordingly.

Okay, a few points to make.

First, restating the obvious. GILFORD IS JULY 18 - 19! Things you should bring with include...
-anything for swiming (suit, towel, ect.)
-Cash to help pay your own way at the drive in, as well as tipping your driver and just in general helping contribute. this wont pay itself.
-whatever else. i dont really care. bring ddr, mortal kombat, anything else that can provide entertainment. i dont really care.

Mom asked me a question that now has me guilt tripping a bit. She asked if i invited freitag. This has had me feeling guilty for both mike, and robbie. so i'm heavily considering inviting them. i know a lot of you dont like them, but i also know you have the ability to grin and bear it. these guys have been my friends for a while now and i think they should come. unless you can strongly convince me otherwise by saturday, i'm inviting them.

on the subject of people to invite, i'm open to suggestions. obviously anyone capable of reading this is in. Pat, feel free to invite alli. i'm just wondering who else to tell. the muffin? sukottu? i'm open to suggestions.

and yeah, thats about it.

Gilford bound
Okay ladies and pat (since no guys check lj anymore with the exception of him) heres the deal.

after much deliberation with myself and breaking the bad news to someone, i've decided on the gilford date to be July 18-19th. clear you schedule for those days. unfortunately this keeps candra out, but i'm sure we can work something out to make it up.

so yeah, free up those days NOW! details will come ASAP. just make sure you have those days off.

i'm guessing we're shooting for tuesday. whether or not it happens then is still a question because i'm not sure what time tsawah leaves on tuesday. but either way i was thinking just in general for an idea for something to do.

Pond Posse car wash. anyone who owns a car or any other mode of transportation, bring it with them. we'll wash them, get soaked, and in general have a good time. all while being somewhat productive. dont think a lack of a vehicle means you are excluded. just that if you have one, bring it, and it will get cleaned. the more to wash, the longer we can keep ourselves occupied until we need to find something else to do.

so, you input?

Hooray for being the first to post here.

okay, aside from the obvious of us all having to get out to folley sometime soon i've got another idea for come the end of the school year (the underclass school year, not mine).

Hopefully starting the day you all get out of school (which is when again?) we smush as many people as are interested into as few cars as possible and head for gilford new hampshire. i know i've talked of this for over a year now, but this time i've brought it up with my parents and we WILL do this.

Activities include...
-Private beach access
-Drive in movies (down in weirs beach assuming it still exists, i think it does, is a drive in theater that offers double features and a free arcade. price is reasonable plus its a freaking drive in. bring money and a portable fm radio if you have one. the audio is broadcasted on the FM band and while we can hear it from the cars, should you decide to sit outside the car for a better veiw or other reasons, having a portable is always advantageous.)
-Anything we bring with (its a big place, we could have ddr, halo, boffers, monopoly, magic, whatever as you see fit)

This would be an OVERNIGHT event that WILL BE SUPERVISED! my mom will be there and probably dad too. there is more than enough beds, couches, futon, or floor space for everyone to sleep alone although it is not required that you do so.

Someone tell me when the last day of finals is (i know its a thursday). I'll check for availability. the sooner you tell me, the more advanced notice i can give my parents and you can give your bosses. So hop too! chop chop. get on with it.
